Two months of posting has been great!  La Flog has had over 1,000 visitors.  We’ve covered quite a few subjects with many contributions from fellow classmates, professors, and Madisonians.  It has been a great start!  Thanks for reading and contributing!  The beginnings are here – the site will develop and grow as the semester begins in a few short weeks (school!).

For August, I will be posting less often.  If Congress gets a break, so do I.  Contributions and comments are still welcome and would be very useful as new and continuing students can start thinking about academics again (if they aren’t already).  For example, I hope someone can explain the August 14-15th Hippie Christmas.  Last year I missed it – I hear it is quite something.  Anyone willing to explain?

One Response to August

  1. Nick says:

Most of the rental agreements in the city expire on August 14 and then resume on the 15. (Causing people to be temporarily homeless for a day). Instead of moving items, many students simply throw items on the curb. The Mifflin/Dayton street areas where lots of undergrads live, is particularly filled with perfectly good “junk” that students are unwilling or unable to move.
