As a friend of mine says “Posting posts from better blogs makes this blog better:”
- Nate Silver over at FiveThirtyEight.com did some analysis of how Americans prefer to travel in anticipation of the high-speed rail spending. It’s a good look at how our classes will allow us to analyze data as they relate to spending/policy decisions.
- Esquire magazine published an article about H1N1 and how likely we are to die from it. An interesting read considering the on campus reaction to the swine flu threat. It also ends with a short discussion of the effects swine flu may have on President Obama’s healthcare plan
- The New York Times blog “Room for Debate,” there was a discussion about whether or not the US should negotiate with the Taliban.
