Student Information Announcement (in honor of Labor Day and student workers)

Are you a PA or TA? Hope to become one some day? Do you like homemade cookies?

If you said Yes to any of the above, please join us for a conversation about UW’s Teaching Assistants’ Association (TAA) this Tuesday, September 8, at 4:45 in the La Follette Student Lounge. TAA is the union that represents nearly 3000 graduate employees at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and is the oldest graduate employee union in the world. Continuing students Erin Fifield, Joanna Marks, and Peter Rickman (also Co-President of the TAA) will talk about what the TAA is and does, suggest ways you can become involved, seek your input on new ideas, and answer questions.

TAA is volunteer run, so whether you’re interested in spreading the word about the union, working to get segregated fees waived, have another student worker issue you’re passionate about, or just want to listen and eat cookies, please join us Tuesday at 4:45.
