  • The defunding of ACORN, which I was initially against, has led to the defunding of “‘any organization’ that has been charged with breaking federal or state election laws, lobbying disclosure laws, campaign finance laws or filing fraudulent paperwork with any federal or state agency.” I am for this, so I guess it worked out. I hope this doesn’t get changed in the process.
  • The Guardian ran an opinion piece that claims the United States under President Obama is losing its global leadership position.
  • Sarah Palin has popped back up on the scene. She is in Hong Kong giving the conservative economic spiel about free markets and deregulation. She also criticized the Obama Administration, but it’s an easy target lately (see above).
  • Paul Krugman’s massive article about macroeconomics is here. Professor Kamata mentioned it in PA880 and it is an interesting read.
