Just some quick coverage of an interesting policy issue:
The State Superintendent is proposing “Fair Funding for Our Future.” According to Education Week, this is proposal is a significant change to the way education is funded in Wisconsin as it does away with a school levy credit and bases school aid on free/reduced lunch status rather than property values. La Follette Professor Andrew Reschovsky stated, “Those extra resources for poor families, I think, are essential, if we are going to have an equitable school funding system.”
I imagine some Bobs are keeping tabs on this issue and I hope you comment or possibly write a more in-depth analysis of the issue in the near future.
Thanks to Sara Kock for the tip!
