Earth Day Bobs

In honor of Earth Day 2012, a day of environmental stewardship founded by former Wisconsin Governor and U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson, a group of La Follette students volunteered their time and energy weeding, raking, and spreading mulch at Goodman Park in Madison. The event was a part of a city initiative called the Earth Day Challenge, which consisted of city-wide clean-ups of parks in Madison.

“It was a beautiful Saturday morning and we really enjoyed taking a break from year-end research papers and spending some time outside”, said Selina Eadie, who organized the event.

Bobs who participated were Becky Chown, Daisy Chung, Kelsey Hill, Selina Eadie, Ryan Eisner, Joe O’Connell, and Phil Sletten.
