1. Public Speaking Seminar-Campus Toastmasters
Wednesday, February 5th, 5:30pm-7:30pm, Union South TITU
Attend to hear speaches, critiques, and participation exercises. This is a great free event for those who would like to improve their public speaking skills.
2. How to Navigate the State Hiring Process
Thursday, February 6th, 12:00pm, La Follette School Conference Room
Jennie Mauer, recruiter for the Office of State Employee Relations, discusses the do’s and don’ts of the state hiring process. This event will discuss the civil service exams and how to excel in the state hiring interviews. Free Pizza will be provided!
3. IRP Seminar with Lisa Alexander, UW-Madison Law School

Lisa Alexander, Associate Professor of Law, UW-Madison Law School will present her talk “Law, Culture, and Social Movements 2.0”
4. La Follette School Alumni Event
Thursday, February 6th, 4:30pm-7:00pm, Inn on the Park, 22 S Carroll St.
This will be a great event with many reasons to attend.
ATTENDEES TO NETWORK WITH – Alumni, friends of the school, students, and staff will attend the biggest networking opportunity of the year. Typically, many state agencies and area organizations are represented. In the past, state legislators and other prominent local officials have attended. It’s the perfect place to snag a job or internship opportunity.

SILENT AUCTION – The LSSA Board is organizing a silent auction to raise funds for this year’s graduation. We have already received a number of great items from area. Come see what great items we will be auctioning off.
