1. LSSA Board Meeting

Monday, February 24th, 6:45pm, 6117 Social Sciences


Join us for the February LSSA Board meeting to hear and provide your input on upcoming LSSA career, volunteer, and social events as well updates on graduation and fundraising. Please contact Steve Kulig if you have any questions.


2. La Follette School Seminar with Mark Lange

Tuesday, February 25th, 12:00pm-1:00pm, La Follette House Conference Room


Hear Mark Lange, director of the University of Wisconsin Extension’s Division of Entrepreneurship and Economic Development as he presents his talk “Private Sector Dynamics: A Look Inside the U.S. Economy”.


3. Timothy Smeading Lecture

Thursday, February 27th, 12:15pm-1:30pm, 8417 Social Sciences


La Follette Professor and IRP Director Timothy Smeading will present his lecture “Connecting Inequality and Intergenerational Mobility: Looking Ahead, Not Behind”. He will present is recent work on studies of generational mobility, income inequality, and wealth and consumption.


4. GAO Careers Informatio Session

Friday, February 28th, 12:00pm-1:00pm, La Follette Conference Room


GAO Chicago Assistant Director Paul Schmidt will provide information on the Chicago GAO, the GAO Analyst position, and answer any questions you may have.


5. LSSA Project Linus Blanket-Making Event

Friday, February 28th, 3:30pm, 8417 Social Science


Project Linus is an organization that distributes handmade blankets to sick and traumatized children. Come help your fellow Bobs make no-sew fleece blankets to donate. If you’ve never made this type of blanket before, no worries- we will be cutting the edges of the fleece into fringe and tying it in knots. Bring a pair of scissors. Check it out on Facebook:
